I've got to be honest. I kind of like it. I've seen
plywood used on floors for years for a creative modern mix of texture. With the right finish you could even substitute
particle board here. I'm not sure what she used as the transitional piece between the boards, but yous could probably use,
flooring transitional moldings to seal those cracks.
